From the Artist:
My recent works explore the rebirth of image and memory within the process of gel medium transfer. I normally use collage and assemblage in my works to push them farther and this series explores older works in photography. This extension of manipulation of imagery uses gel medium to capture an image and move it to another surface. This pushes the image to a deeper level and by using this different medium, this makes the photography look ghostly as if it is a dream or a memory . I started to revisit 30 years of photography taken while living in Cleveland, Ohio. From old industrial buildings, dead malls, lift bridges and amusement park rides - I found my older photography images within old computers, old Flickr accounts. Each piece is printed out, not edited with photoshop or digital design, just taking the original image and print out what to me is a memory captured in time before social media.
These works reflect the love for the Land. My memories are brighter and they convey a sense of the love and hope I had for my city shine through within these pieces; a ghostly image of the past becomes alive again.

Born in Parma, in 1970, She received her BFA at Kent State School of Art in 1993, returned for graduate studies in 2004. Her professional endeavors include curator for Progressive Corporate Art Program, Juror for National Scholastics, college recruiter for SVA and CIA. Her works have been exhibited at Maria Neil Gallery, Zygote Press, Cleveland State, Studio 2091, Spaces, Asterisk Gallery, Lorain Community College, the Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Dead Horse Gallery.
She can be found left of the dial every Sunday Sunday Sunday teaching students at Case Western Reserve University’s Radio Station WRUW 91.1FM how to broadcast on a college radio station as DJBG on the Erie Effusion Eighties retro radio show since 2006.
